A History of Royal Tennis in Australia

The first definitive book on the game in Australia – it was written by Michael Garnett in 1983 and published by his Historical Publications. The foreword was by Lord Aberdare who was Chairman of the Tennis & Rackets Association at the time. It is well illustrated and covers the history of both Hobart and Melbourne and includes photos of the construction of the Ballarat court which opened the following year.
