Manuscript facsimile of two of Brennan’s poems, not previously published. It consists of twenty pages of free-form verse, hand-lettered, in a clever parody of the style of Mallarme’s “Un Coup de dés” (and as such it is probably the first ever parody of free verse in the history of English literature). The main burden of its complaint can be traced by following through the poem the words in large capitals: “I don’t give a tinker’s damn for the public and they return the compliment.” Dedication by Axel Clark, son of Manning and Dymphna Clark.
