The Silmarillion

The Silmarillion is a collection of myths and stories in varying styles by the English writer J. R. R. Tolkien. It was edited and published posthumously by his son Christopher Tolkien in 1977, assisted by the fantasy author Guy Gavriel Kay. Houghton Mifflin Company published the 1st US edition of The Silmarillion in 1977, as a hardcover. The first edition contains Wall Street Journal publication information and Tolkien’s Middle-earth fold-out map. HC DJ
